This applies to anyone who fished in the Norton Sound Region in 2020 who experienced hardship due to the salmon disaster. It does not specify what subunit you were fishing in. Subsistence users (at least 1 per household) must have held a permit from 2016-2020. The amount dispersed will be determined by the number of applications that will split the allotted relief funds. DESCRIPTION:Join in this workshop with Brandolyn and receive one-on-one support whether you are developing your resume for the first time\, or updating one you haven’t looked at for some time.  \nFeel free to bring whatever you are able to help you with filling it out (job records\, certificates etc).  \nWe will host this workshop in person in the Talialuk Board Room from 1pm-4pm. DESCRIPTION:Kawerak is offering travel scholarships to Bering Strait Region Tribal Members interested in traveling to Anchorage February 7-10 to provide in-person testimony at the North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC) meeting regarding Chum Bycatch in the pollock fishery. \nIn preparation for the February meeting\, Kawerak is hosting a testimony development workshop\, which will be required for travel scholarship recipients\, but also open to others. The Chum Bycatch issue is critical to our region\, and we hope you can join us for the workshop and at the February NPFMC meeting! \nBering Strait Region Tribal Members who are interested in a travel scholarship to deliver testimony in-person at the February NPFMC meeting should contact Lisa Ellanna for more details at 907-304-1195 lellanna@kawerak.org.
