Kawerak is offering travel scholarships to Tribal Members interested in traveling to Anchorage February 7-10 to provide in-person testimony at the North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC) meeting regarding Chum Bycatch in the pollock fishery.

In preparation for the February meeting, Kawerak is hosting a testimony development workshop, which will be required for travel scholarship recipients, but also open to others. The Chum Bycatch issue is critical to our region, and we hope you can join us for the workshop and at the February NPFMC meeting!

Tribal Members who are interested in a travel scholarship to deliver testimony in-person at the February NPFMC meeting should contact Lisa Ellanna for more details at 907-304-1195 lellanna@kawerak.org. DEADLINE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP: January 17 at 4 pm.

The zoom workshop will be held on January 29, 10 am to 12:30pm. You can join on Zoom or use your phone by calling 1-253-215-8782, Meeting ID: 820 4771 9928.  Zoom Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82047719928
