In March of 2025 Brice Hardy stood tall to receive his Class A Commercial Driving License from the Alaska Driving Academy. Since he was a middle school student, Brice had his eyes on obtaining his CDL. It took time, research and working toward endorsements but he got there and couldn’t be happier!

When asked how he dealt with the challenges of homesickness, especially when it came to his kids, Hardy said “Being a single father of two, every free moment I got I called or FaceTimed my kids.” As for advice for others he would suggest the same, “If you’re homesick (while in training), call a family member or someone close to you.”

Brice also had another recommendation, “If someone were interested in getting their CDL, I would say get all the endorsements (Class A License)…it will be worth it!”

Brice currently uses his Class A CDL as a Fuel Truck Delivery Driver at Bonanza Fuel in Nome. With the CDL Class A, he is extremely happy with his increase in compensation and has been recommending pursuing the license to everyone he can, “I’ve been telling all my friends to get their CDL, and you should too!” We are so proud of Brice and are thrilled to celebrate his accomplishment alongside him.
