Purpose of Meeting
The U.S. Coast Guard invites waterway users to share ideas about establishing a Waterways Safety Committee (WSC) for the Bering Strait region and discuss:
- What is a waterways safety committee?
- What is important to consider in deciding if a WSC should be established for the Bering Strait region?
- What might a WSC for the region look like? The meeting is open to anyone interested, up to the maximum capacity in the room. (No limits to online participation.)
Key Goal: Identifying a Steering Group to take the lead in exploring the next steps and drafting recommendations for the formation of a formal WSC.
