Are you a current Kawerak Higher Education Scholarship student? Are you looking for meaningful employment over the summer? Would you like to return to the Bering Strait for the summer? If you answered yes to these questions the Kawerak Internship Program is exactly what you are looking for.

The Kawerak Summer Internship Program is a 10-12 week program from May through August for current Kawerak Higher Education Scholarship recipients. Kawerak recognizes the importance of not only supporting the students while they are attending college to obtain their degree, but also offer opportunities to develop leadership skills, gain valuable employment experience, live in their home region and still be able to participate in summer family subsistence activities.

Students must currently carry a GPA of 2.0 or higher and secure their own housing and accommodations throughout the internship. Students must also dedicate themselves to a full 37.5 hour a week schedule, and participate in mandatory leadership and skill building sessions. Hired interns will earn $25 per hour through the course of the internship.

Deadline to apply is March 29. To find out more information visit www.kawerak.org/internship.
