UPDATE: Pilgrim Hot Springs Road Repairs Completed

To residents of the Bering Strait Region:
Construction on the Pilgrim Hot Springs access road is completed, as well as brush removal along the side of the roadway. There will be heavy equipment on or near the site for the next few days, and minimal excavation work taking place at the property on Thursday, July 30.

Visitors may request a permit by contacting pilgrim@kawerak.org or calling 907-443-4278. Limited keys to the gate are available. Unaatuq will attempt to space out visitor requests to allow for proper social distancing and minimal contact between guests. As a reminder, please follow recommended CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 and respect the distance of other visitors. Unaatuq is taking COVID-19 precautions seriously and will limit guest entrance to protect the health of our community.

The site may not be accessed by boat from the river unless obtaining both a permit from Unaatuq as well as from Mary’s Igloo Native Corporation. Please contact the MINC office at 907-642-2308 or migloonativecorp@gmail.com
