Kawerak’s COVID planning team has determined a phased plan to begin the process of employees returning to the workplace starting June 15. For the protection of public health, Kawerak made the decision to close all buildings, reduce service hours and have a percentage of staff work remotely, while the remainder was asked to do their part in protecting our communities by social distancing, wearing a face covering, and washing their hands. We are proud of our communities for taking the measures thus far to protect our region.
With re-opening, Kawerak is taking safety very seriously. Limited staff will be allowed in the office and are to adhere to strict safety guidelines. The Kawerak buildings will still remain closed to the public to continue to protect staff and limit contact between people. Kawerak will continue to provide services to the public via electronic and telephonic communication from 11am-3pm Monday through Friday.
